The situation with the new Visitor Centre remains as always " Take it with a pinch of salt " just can't see it happening with this management, and like a great many number of people I'm fed up with being fobbed off with a pack of Bull$%^&. I have purchased a folding cycle to help me around the Forest in a more efficient manner, if you see me please give me a wave, if you see me in a heap please don't laugh, it can happen. LOL. The Photography Club continues to make advances with new new techniques and inplementing new technology, I have just returned from a 6 week stretch in Scotland with some fabulous material and now have proved several new techniques, I must count one amongst that number as a failure, the theory was fine, it panned out in front of the meter but in practice was not powerful enough, however the success stories far outweigh the one blip. It is planned to return to Scotland next year to continue with development work on project Yordas which has proved such a resounding success, and if we are lucky we may manage a visit back to Yordas Cave in Yorkshire for several more exciting shoots. Best Wishes, Adrian. 11/11/2013.
They shall grow not old, 18-11-2013 Looks like we entering the Antique sales market, work has already started on stock, mainly small items of Antique furniture and Bric a Brac all to raise much needed funds for our organisation. Look for the new pages as they appear. 03-12-2013 Getting close to Christmas and the arrival of 2014, a new year that should be welcomed with excitement, well I have had more fun watching grass grow than listening to this lot, just not on.................I really get sick and tired of reading about proposals for the new visitor centre at Sherwood Forest, well 2014 was the projected date for moving into a new visitor centre, however I have just noticed on a County Council PDF the they are now saying the projected date will be AROUND 2016. I really do get fed up of hearing and reading pathetic excuses about when they intend to do something about moving out of the Forest. Natural England are just as bad in supporting their lax efforts, about time the Council scrapped the present management and brought in some fresh blood and got on with the job. Either that or Natural England kick them all out and take the site over themselves and organise the re-location as they have the necessary authority to do so !. Ready to Rock and Roll. 07-12-2013 A couple of days ago the BBC ran an article on the Union Jack and the need for a new design if Scotland leave the Union, so I puts pen to paper and send in my burnt offering, the following day it's staring me in the face on the Beeb website, please take a look...... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-25222891 24 12 2013 Wishing everyone a very Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year. There is a lot of work lined up for the coming New Year and I trust our efforts in the Forest and the Community will as always be appreciated.
